On Friday 20th January 2012 dollop and Zleep join forces to present the house & techno legend CLAUDE VONSTROKE, who will play alongside his dirtybird label-mate EATS EVERYTHING and local hero LONE.
CLAUDE VONSTROKE (dirtybird)
“Claude VonStroke does not scowl and look mean while he DJs. He does not pretend to know everything and he will be nice to you and your friends. He is grateful to be doing music for a living and he knows that the reason people go to parties is to have fun. If you want to act cool and not have any fun then he is not the right DJ for you.”
The Whistler by Claude VonStroke
Claude’s real name is Barclay Crenshaw, a guy raised in the suburbs Detroit who wanted to be a filmmaker but always had a knack for music. After several different careers, VonStroke started the “dirtybird” label at the age of 32.
Since 2005, dirtybird has carved out a niche as a premiere American label and has released over 40 EPs from the likes of dollop favourites Julio Bashmore, The Martin Brothers (Justin & Christian), J Phlip, Riva Starr, Solo, Zombie Disco Squad, Tim Green, Style Of Eye & Worthy.

In an effort to give something back to the community VonStroke unveiled a new label “mothership” in 2007. A large percentage of the label’s proceeds go to a music school for children in Claude’s hometown of Detroit, Michigan. This label features more euro-flavored techno and house featuring groups like Catz ‘n Dogz, Maetrik and Voodeux.
Tour wise, Claude has headlined almost every major club, festival and basement after-party in the world.
Three of the most talked about sets in dollop history have been provided by Claude VonStroke – firstly his epic 3 hour set back in 2008, secondly in the dollop room at the 2010 Indoor Festival and most recently back in March 2011 alongside Jamie Woon & Benji B. Still riding high on the critical acclaim for his ‘Bird Brain’ LP, we are looking forward to welcoming him back to Stealth for dollop Vs Zleep!

Playing alongside Claude VonStroke we are pleased to welcome back EATS EVERYTHING !!!
Few producers of recent years have exploded onto the underground house scene like Bristolian Eats Everything (aka Daniel Pearce). Part of a new wave of talented producers coming out of the West Country’s Bass Central, that includes Julio Bashmore and Waifs & Strays, he delivers exquisitely crafted sample heavy tracks paying homage to everything from Randy Crawford to Ray Charles. While some producers spend years finding their feet, Dan made a clear statement of intent with ‘Entrance Song’ his debut release on Catz N Dogz ‘Pets Recordings’ label that peaked at number 15 in Beatport’s all-genre house chart.
In addition to this his ‘Coat Of Arms’ side project with Chris James has already gained widespread praise with ‘Is This Something’ signed to Jamie Jones’ new fabric mix compilation from Bristol’s fledgling Futureboogie label.

His two most recent bass-laden dance bombs were picked up Claude VonStroke for his flagship Dirtybird label. First up was Tric Tac, a co-production between Eats Everything and Worthy, which was followed soon after by ‘The Size’ which stormed up the Beatport charts.

CVS & Eats Everything are joined on the bill by LONE !!!
Lone (aka Matt Cutler) started producing in his Nottingham bedroom at the age of ten. After making his dollop debut as one half of Kids In Tracksuits, Matt went solo, releasing his debut Lone LP in 2008. The album was featured in Bleep.com’s top 10 of the year, leading to a remix for Warp records and a deal with Actress’ London label Werk Discs.
In 2010 Lone decided to switch things up, concentrating on a much heavier Chicago house / Detroit Techno and early 90’s London rave sound, aimed at destroying parties while simultaneously staying true to his beautiful, nostalgic melodic style. His releases for his own Magic Wire imprint further solidified his reputation, and Lone ended the year with his tracks Pineapple Crush and Once In A While being featured in every respectable ‘Best of 2010’ roundup (including Resident Advisor, Phonica, Juno & Fact Magazine).
In 2011 Lone has gone from strength to strength, with his tracks receiving the support of Caribou, Mr Scruff, Diplo, Kode 9, Dark Sky, Rustie, James Holden, Martyn, Joy Orbison, Oneman, Boys Noize, Jackmaster, Nathan Fake, Machine Drum, Falty DL, Alex Nut and Sinden amongst others; remixes for Radiohead, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Steffi, Tensnake, Gonzales & Underworld; and sets at Glastonbury, BLOC weekend, Ultrasound NYC, Great Escape, 5 Days Off, 02 Arena London and of course U-Stream sensation The Boiler Room.
With his recent EP on seminal techno label R&S, residency at Manchester hot-spot Hoya:Hoya, Lone is easily holding down his place at the forefront of British electronic music.
