Toddla T is quite simply a BADMAN DJ.
Toddla (aka Tom Bell) started DJing at the age of 14 in the clubs and bars of Sheffield, and by the age of 16 had left school to pursue a full-time career in the music industry. By the age of 19 he had worked his way up to the position of in-house engineer at Kenwood Studios in Sheffield (where Dizzee Rascal had made ‘Boy In Da Corner’), working with the likes of Cash Money and Roots Manuva. The release of his much vaunted ‘Ghettoblaster’ mixtape, his debut artist album ‘Skanky Skanky’ and his Fabriclive mix album firmly put Toddla T on the map.
In the last few years he has become the host of BBC Radio 1’s ‘In New DJs We Trust’ show; formed ‘Roller Express’ (alongside Redlight); produced as one half of Toddska (with Roska); launched his own label (Girls Music), and released his 2nd LP ‘Watch Me Dance’ (featuring the likes of Roots Manuva, Shola Ama, Jamie George, Maxsta, & Ms. Dynamite. Toddla will be joined at Girls Go Free by his long-standing partner in crime…
